Bio - Christopher Kavi Carbone
Christopher Kavi Carbone,
Musician, Storyteller, Teaching Artist, Yoga/Meditation instructor,
& Holistic Health Counselor,
is known for bringing a positive and gentle spirit
into his work with all ages and abilities.
After completing his Graduate Studies
in Theater & Performance Studies from N.Y.U.'s Tisch School of the Arts,
and with over 25 years of training and working professionally
in the fields of theater, music, expressive arts, & holistic practices, he is committed to helping people transform their lives
through creative expression and self-awareness.
In his role as a Registered Drama Therapist, Yoga Therapist,
and as an Expressive Arts Facilitator,
Christopher is specifically dedicated to utilizing the creative and healing arts towards creating a more peaceful and joy-filled world.
Currently he is sharing his programs
and bringing these "Arts-in-Celebration!" events
to Holistic Centers, Festivals, Schools, and Community events
around Rhode Island and Southern New England.
As part of his local focus,
Along with his wife Katherine Carbone,
he co-directs Present Moment Arts Center, a non-profit organization,
sharing the healing and creative arts, including workshops with sound, Reiki, drumming, expressive arts, yoga and more.
He joyfully continues his project as Community Music Educator/Director
through "Music Together of Newport County",
bringing music and movement experiences to families with children from newborns to age 5.
Christopher also serves as Program Coordinator and Faculty Member
of Salve Regina University's training programs in the Expressive Arts,
part of the University's "Holistic Graduate Programs, in the Department of Counseling, Leadership and Expressive Arts" based in Newport, RI:
providing training for professionals using the arts for healing and transformation.
